Cathedral Cove is located inside a Marine Reserve and the beach of sparkling white sand is surrounded by sea and white cliffs covered in bush.
Many of the rocks and cliffs have been eroded into strange shapes, the main feature being the 'cathedral' - a large cavern at one end of the beach which passes through a headland. This is a formation in the rock that has eroded away over millions of years giving an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a church.
