The Charlotte Jane built in 1891 was magnificently restored and opened as a premier guest lodge able to accommodate up to 24 guests in 1995.

Features include beautifully crafted sash windows, stained glass windows and rich kauri and rimu timber panelling throughout. Each room is individually decorated with fine furnishings in keeping with the grandeur of the house. Only minutes away from Christchurch City the Charlotte Jane is a perfect accommodation, wedding ceremony and/or reception venue with it’s beautiful garden, blending native trees with rhododendrons and roses.

Our Charlotte Jane Boutique B&B Wedding Package includes 2 nights accommodation for the bride and groom in the beautifully appointed Honeymoon Suite whose centre-piece is a huge mahogany four-poster bed draped in rich fabric and a romantic dinner for two in the adjacent Alexander Lawrence restaurant.

For wedding receptions the Alexander Lawrence fine-dining restaurant located alongside The Charlotte Jane offers the finest of New Zealand food and wines and can cater to the following dining arrangements:

State Room - Maximum of 22 people - exclusive use.
Main Restaurant Area – Minimum of 30 – Maximum of 40 – exclusive use.
Main Restaurant Area – Table for up to 10 – non-exclusive use.
