We wanted to send a HUGE thank you for everything - we had the most incredible wedding.
It wasn't actually until we got home and received the reaction from our family and friends that we realised the enormity of what had been achieved.
We travelled completely to the other side of the world to get married on top of a mountain that we had never visited, by a man we had never had any contact with, we had never seen any of the photographer or videographer's work and all booked by a lady called Rochelle who we had only spoken to once.
And the day could not have gone smoother - the weather was just perfect (their first good day in 30 days) and the Richardson Glacier's beauty left us speechless.
A lot of the comments have been about how relaxed and happy Ross and I are in the video. This was, of course, because there was nothing for us to be stressed about - everything was organised with almost military precision, nothing was left to doubt and everyone we came into contact with couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. This left us just to enjoy our time and appreciate the stunning natural beauty of our surroundings.
We have been to 18 weddings in the last two years and have 6 more booked in the diary for 2005 already - they are all in the same venues with the same people attending. We are SO incredibly glad we were able to come to New Zealand and leave all the traditional wedding headaches behind. We had a bit of a get-together on our return on Saturday for family and friends where we showed the video and the photographs were passed around. We literally had people queuing up to tell us how fantastic everything was and how lucky we were. A lot of the newly-married's expressed their wish that they had done what we had done - and the about-to-be-married's who are currently in the middle of the whole "You have to invite your second Aunty's cousin twice removed", "Have you booked your flowers, cars, got your dress, sorted out your table plan……" carry-on that plagues traditional weddings ALL said that they wished they were doing it the way Ross and I had.
Some people were openly crying when we showed the video (Ross isn't that bad is he !?!? :-) ) and everyone was raving about how fantastic the setting was.
Ross and I are absolutely thrilled with the incredible job Tetsuya did. It is testament to his absolute professionalism and skill and we will treasure it always.
Denis and all the staff at the Hermitage were amazing during our stay. We were quite astonished by Kiwi friendliness everywhere we went, but the people in the hotel took the top prize - they simply could not have done more.
Kent, our helicopter pilot was "cool as" and we were very pleased to have him as a witness (and inpromptu H&S advisor, stopping us getting too near the edge!).
Finally, Trev the photographer is a really nice guy and a lot of the photos are superb.
Ross and I had the best time in New Zealand and we would recommend New Zealand Wedding Services in a heartbeat.
With kindest regards.

I just wanted to send you a quick note to say a Big Thank You to you and the rest of the team for making our wedding day so special. We had a fabulous day and eventhough I was miles away from my family and friends everyone involved made me feel so special. I shall never forget that.
The DVD is fantastic, it really encapsulates not just the day but also the whole holiday, with the fantatsic images of NZ at the beginning. We will never get bored of watching it. And the photos are brilliant, Trevor really captured the moment. We're looking forward to receiving the formal photo album when it arrives.
Can you please pass on our thanks to Trevor, Denis and Tetsuya for really making our important day so amazing.
Kind regards and once again a big thank you
Clare and Mark
We have now received our DVD, negatives and marriage certificates and I would just like to let you know how pleased we both are with the service provided by NZ Wedding Services. Whenever we started exploring the idea of getting married in New Zealand, I don't think either Sue or I really thought it would ever happen. It is only since we have returned home, that we have realised the enormity of what we have achieved. This was after all, one of the most important days of our lives and we were travelling to a country on the other side of the world to get married in a Church we had never visited and all was being organised by yourselves, whom we had never met. I know I speak for both of us when I say that the service provided by NZWS, the location of the church, the beauty of the scenery and the quality of the photos and video far exceed anything we could have hoped for. Whenever we have shown our wedding photos to friends and family they all remark on how relaxed we look and this is in part I believe to the efficient way in which you arranged everything for us. Rochelle, on behalf of Sue and myself a big thank you for all your work.
With regards the photos taken by Ken, we are really pleased with the quality of his work and his relaxed manner put us both at ease and made posing for the photos a pleasure. I think we have around 90 photos and given that Ken only had the two of us to work with, he has put together a beautifully arranged selection of shots which capture the day perfectly. Kathryn's assistance was greatly appreciated by Sue particularly in the morning when Sue was getting ready. We both cannot speak highly enough of Ken and Kathryn.
I feel that the unsung hero of the proceedings at Lake Tekapo was Tetsuya. When I think back to our wedding day I have few memories of Tetsuya as I was more aware of Ken giving us instructions for the photos and Tetsuya always appeared to be in the background. Having seen several of our friends wedding videos over the years I was expecting something similar. However, we watched our DVD last night for the first time and we were both truly moved by not only the quality but how Tetsuya had captured the beauty of the location and the actual service itself. So good was the DVD, that we watched it 3 times last night. We both particularly like the opening section of Tetsuya's video where he shows scenes from around the country and we were able to relate to these as we had stayed in Christchurch, Mount Cook and gone whale watching. The video sums up not just our wedding but many of the things we had seen and experienced in NZ. The camera angles and shots used by Tetsuya really set his work apart from all other wedding videos we have seen. I'm not sure of how best to describe his style but words such as modern, fresh and exciting come to mind. Ken and Tetsuya worked brilliantly together and I would praise NZWS for choosing them. It is a testimony to Tesuya's skill and professionalism that we were relatively unaware of his presence on our wedding day. I would strongly recommend Tetsuya to all of your future clients.
Rochelle, with the help of both them and yourself, our wedding day was truly special and we can both honestly say that we cannot think of anything that could have been done better. Many thanks and wishing you all a very Happy Christmas.
Regards, Nick
We wanted to thank you for all of your help with the wedding. We had a really wonderful time and we thought the wedding went really smoothly. The church, the flowers, the cake--it was all super! We really appreciate all of your efforts. Please pass on our thanks to Bob, Nicky, Tetsuya, and Ken as well. They were all great.
Best,
Frances and Toby

A very BIG thank you from us both for organising such a fantastic wedding. It really was a perfect day. From our arrival at The Charlotte Jane to our sad departure from The Waterfront apartments everything was first class. When we arrived at Arthur's Pass and got off the train it was freezing, I hoped it would be warmer on our wedding day. IF there is a "Man Upstairs" - he was obviously listening as we woke to blue skies and great cloud formation. Keith even went kayaking at 6am. The day after was too hot for a wedding so we were really lucky. Steve, the guide from the Wilderness Lodge found this rather amusing . Judy was an an absolute sweetheart and did a beautiful ceremony. The photos are absolutely fantastic. We had such fun with Ken and Kathryn, they obviously work well together. The photo tour felt more like a magazine shoot than a wedding, it was great fun and yes we did need our trainers. I can't wait to see the larger album. We are so pleased with the video footage. We watched it in Auckland.......and cried! Aaaaahhhhhhh. I'm really glad that we had a video taken - we wouldn't have for an English wedding as I think they are usually rather boring. Ours is really funny. We all agreed that we couldn't think of a nicer place to get married.
Kind Regards Tina .
First of all, Julie and I want to thank you and all of your employees and contractors for an absolutely perfect wedding. Everything went off without a hitch, and it was as beautiful as we had hoped it would be.
The beach was absolutely gorgeous. Although we quickly learned that the average Kiwi is extraordinarily friendly, all of you we're even friendlier than the average Kiwi. That helped out somewhat frazzled nerves, and made us feel like we were sharing out wedding with friends.
Thank you once again for making the most important day of our lives absolutely flawless.
Best Regards,
Mike Seay
Sorry it's taken us so lont to get round to emailing....it's taken a while to recover from jet lag and settle into miserable, cold English weather again!! We just want to say a huge thankyou to you for arranging the most perfect day! We could never have wished for anything so special! It was better than anything we could have ever dreamed of...it was perfect!! The location, weather, food but most importantly the people who helped to organise the day all made it wonderful. The care and attention to detail were quite something and something that we will alwas be grateful for. All in all it was a perfect day that we shall always cherish dearly!! Thankyou!!!
Love Bec and Ian
We were both absolutely delighted with our wedding--I can't think of how it could have been better. And the fact that it was completely worry-free was a real gift to us; I know too many couples getting married and going out of their minds to do so! Thanks so much for all you did.

As Brian and I get back into the swing of things and prepare for our reception this coming Friday, I didn't want anymore time to pass before letting you know just how perfect our wedding was and what a huge part you played in bringing that together. Every last detail was orchestrated perfectly. Without you, there would have been no way Brian and I could have had the wedding we did. Thank you so much!
Kathryn and Ken we wonderful as our photographers!!! We were so pleased with our album! The pictures really capture what a special event this was for Brian and I. We will always treasure these photos to help us recapture the memories. We can't say enough good things about the Wilderness Lodge. It is in a wonderful location, but what makes it so special are the hosts, Amanda and John. Of all the lodges and inns we stayed throughout our time in NZ, they, by far, were the best at what they do. You were so right about Judy!! Meeting her just put us at ease because she is so calm and easy going. And, the flowers... wow, they were beautiful!!
So, this Friday night is our big fancy reception in Boston. I wish you were here to help put everything together like you did in NZ!! It was so relaxing to have our wedding be just the two of us.
It will be so great to share our excitement with our friends and family, but nothing will replace the experience we had in Arthur's Pass. Lisa
